Hum, Drum Sort of Night

I bet you all are wondering how my Christmas was... well honestly I feel absent. so absent. I wrote a song about it.

It's Christmas eve and nothing feels right.
No stockings, no tree, no eggnog tonight.
No Hot chocolate or cider anywhere in sight.
It feels like a hum drum sort of night.

It feels like a Hum Drum,
A hum id dee dumb drum.
It feels like a hum, drum Christmas night.

The lights and the colors that we all enjoy,
The goodies and packages for good girls and boys,
As I look about in my humble home,
I am just overwhelmed with being alone.

And it feels like a Hum Drum,
A hum id dee dumb drum.
It feels like a hum, drum Christmas night.

Each present, each gift in the basket against the wall,
I know what is in them I can name them all.
No scripts to be learned, No Plays this year
It feels like a hum drum sort of night.

And it feels like a Hum Drum,
A hum id dee dumb drum.
It feels like a hum, drum Christmas night.

Not a thing that is normal,
Nothing feels right.
It feels like a Humb drum sort of night.

Honestly friends and family, I did like what I have gotten so far, but I still feel hum drum. I am simply in a picky mood. No offence. I will problbly feel better once I clean my room and find  a place for everything I just got.

  1. I am sorry to hear you are feeling that way...but I must say, the poem was fantastic.
